Benefits of Organic Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Eucalyptus has highly effective clearing properties, especially useful if you are suffering from a cold so it can be greatly beneficial at night to have the bottle at hand to take a sniff from, to help clear the airways, or try adding a few drops to a cotton ball and place it under your pillow.
Another effective treatment for easing the discomfort of a blocked nose is to use it as a steam inhalation by adding 2-3 drops of the Eucalyptus oil to a bowl of hot water, cover your head with a towel and leaning carefully over the bowl, breathe in the steam vapour.
Eucalyptus also has really great invigorating and refreshing properties; try adding a few drops to a bath, or diffuse in a vaporiser, or traditional burner (see ‘For use in a diffuser’ instructions below).
When diluted in a carrier oil, Eucalyptus essential oil can also be used in massage, (Important – see ‘How to use on the skin’ instructions below) for helping to ease stiff joints and aching muscles; a great one for use after sport and other physical activities.

How to use:
For use on the skin:
Not to be used on children under 5. Keep away from the eyes.
To safely use Eucalyptus essential oil on your skin, always dilute in a carrier oil.
To safely dilute essential oils, add 5-6 drops of the essential oil to every 30ml of your base, or carrier oil. A popular carrier oil for use on the skin is almond oil, which has great skin nourishing properties.
Test the mixture on a small, inconspicuous area of your skin before you apply it somewhere sensitive, like your face – NB: Always keep away from the eyes. If after 24 hours you see redness or irritation, do not use the mixture.
Never apply Eucalyptus oil directly to your skin without a carrier oil, and never ingest any essential oil.
For use in a diffuser:
Use three or four drops of the oil in a diffuser of your choice. If you’re using a diffuser inside a small room, you can leave it on for up to 20 minutes at a time. If you’re using it inside a bigger place, you can diffuse it for a period of 30 minutes to an hour.
