This organic sweet orange essential oil is an incredibly popular oil, due to its fresh and joyful scent. It is perfect to use with a vapouriser or oil burner. Calming and stress relieving, sweet orange has been found to help reduce nervous tension and stress and create a feeling of peace and warmth.

Benefits of Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Sweet Orange oil has long been used in aromatherapy due to its relaxing properties and ability to potentially alleviate muscle and joint discomfort when applied to the skin. It has also been proven to have strong cleansing capabilities. Sweet Orange essential oil is also a great one to use as a natural air freshener due to its powerfully sweet and fresh scent – add 20-30 drops to 100ml of distilled water and decant into an atomiser/spray bottle.

For a muscle relaxing massage: Combine 5 or 6 drops of Organic Sweet Orange essential oil with 30ml of a carrier oil of your choice and massage into the skin using gentle circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes.

For the perfect cleansing, stimulating and uplifting bath soak: Add 5 drops of orange oil to warm bath water and soak for around 15 to 20 minutes.

To fill your home with a fresh, joyous scent and help you to calm nervous tension and de-stress, add 3-4 drops to a vaporiser or traditional burner. (see ‘For use in a diffuser’ instructions below)

How to use:

For use on the skin:

Not to be used on children under 5.  Keep away from the eyes.

To safely use Sweet Orange essential oil on your skin, always dilute in a carrier oil.

To safely dilute essential oils, add 5-6 drops of the essential oil to every 30ml of your base, or carrier oil. A popular carrier oil for use on the skin with orange oil, is Jojoba oil which has great skin nourishing properties.

Test the mixture on a small, inconspicuous area of your skin before you apply it somewhere sensitive, like your face – NB: Always keep away from the eyes. If after 24 hours you see redness or irritation, do not use the mixture.

Never apply orange oil directly to your skin without a carrier oil, and never ingest any essential oil.

For use in a diffuser:

Use three or four drops of the oil in a diffuser of your choice.  If you’re using a diffuser inside a small room, you can leave it on for up to 20 minutes at a time. If you’re using it inside a bigger place, you can diffuse it for a period of 30 minutes to an hour.
